Fumaroles & Mines

A specialized trek for geology lovers. After a 45-minute bus ride to the Sierra Negra entrance, we begin a 3 to 4-hour hike into a landscape that feels like another planet.

We will explore the Sulfur Mines, where you can witness active fumaroles releasing volcanic steam and admire bright yellow sulfur rock formations. On the way back, we stop at the El Mango Viewpoint for a stunning panoramic view of Isabela’s southern coastline.
