Your Experience Step by Step
Early Morning Departure
Your day begins in Puerto Ayora, where you meet your guide and board the ferry toward Floreana Island.
The open-ocean crossing offers your first taste of the archipelago’s scale and wild beauty. The ride can be bumpy, so motion-sickness medication is often recommended.
Moment to enjoy: The scenic Pacific crossing toward one of the Galapagos’ most historic islands.
The tour includes a light snorkeling session in calm coastal waters.
Possible sightings include:
- Sea turtles
- Sea lions
- Tropical fish
- Marine iguanas (occasionally)
While snorkeling is not the main focus, it adds a refreshing marine component to the day.
Highlight: A relaxed underwater encounter to complement the land exploration.
After a full morning of discovery, enjoy lunch before boarding the ferry back to Santa Cruz.
You’ll return to Puerto Ayora in the afternoon with a deeper understanding of the Galapagos beyond the typical wildlife circuit.
