Your Experience Step by Step
Morning Departure to Floreana
Your day begins in Puerto Ayora, where you’ll transfer to the yacht and begin a scenic navigation across the Galapagos Marine Reserve toward Floreana Island.
As the coastline fades behind you, keep watch for seabirds and marine life along the way.
Moment to enjoy: The open-ocean crossing toward one of the archipelago’s most historic islands.
Your first stop is Enderby Islet, a vibrant snorkeling site known for its rich marine biodiversity.
In the clear waters, you may encounter:
- Playful sea lions
- Sea turtles
- Starfish
- Tropical reef fish
This is typically the most water-focused portion of the day and a guest favorite.
Highlight: Close marine encounters in calm, clear waters.
Next, the yacht heads to Cormorant Point, one of Floreana’s most iconic visitor sites.
Here you’ll explore:
- A unique beach of volcanic and organic sand
- Rocky shores where marine iguanas rest
- Coastal areas with blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds
A short trail (about 100 meters) leads to a peaceful lagoon where flamingos are often seen feeding in the shallow waters.
Highlight: Flamingos in one of the Galapagos’ most photogenic lagoons.
After the guided visit, enjoy lunch served onboard the yacht while surrounded by the wild beauty of Floreana.
In the afternoon, the navigation begins with the return navigation to Santa Cruz. Depending on conditions, optional fishing may be offered on the way back.
You’ll arrive in Puerto Ayora with a camera full of wildlife moments and a deeper appreciation for the Galapagos' diversity.
